Drew served as an Affiliate to the Software Engineering Institute to assist in the development of the CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) and continues to assist in the development of new courses and instruction as a member of the CMMI Training Team and CMMI for Services Mini-Team. Her IT services scenario essay was published in the CMMI for Services V1.3 book (second edition) Guidelines for Superior Service (available on Amazon) and she is currently writing a Technical Report on ITIL, ISO 20000, and CMMI for Services. She has been a speaker at national conferences including the itSMF USA and SEPG conferences. Drew has served as a programmer-analyst, IT service manager, IT systems acquisitions manager, project manager, consultant, computer systems analysis manager, assessment team lead, and instructor.

Ms. Drew Allison is a Certified ITIL Expert, Certified SCRUM Master, Certified ISO 20000 Lead Auditor, Certified QMS Lead Auditor, and Certified CMMI SCAMPI Lead Appraiser and Instructor for CMMI for Development and CMMI for Services. She has more than 25 years of international and domestic experience managing software engineering and IT services, process and performance improvement, development, operations, evaluation, and acquisition. Her experience includes the requirements process, information systems management (including information security), computer systems acquisitions, and systems and software process improvement in federal, state, and private sector programs. As a CMMI, ITIL Expert and SCRUM Master certified professional she is qualified to manage initiatives in software development, IT services planning, compliance, process and performance improvement through development of policies and procedures, risk and opportunity management, project management, incident and problem management, requirements, service continuity, strategic planning, configuration management, service transition, and engineering best practice.

Drew has planned, organized, directed, controlled and evaluated the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP) departments and companies, developed and implemented policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems development and operations, met with clients to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. She has assembled and managed teams of information systems personnel to evaluate, design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems, controlled the budget and expenditures of the company, selected and supervised computer analysts, engineers, programmers, technicians and other personnel and has overseen their professional development and training. Drew has selected and managed teams performing evaluations of the software engineering and IT services operations of large aerospace and defense companies, large commercial companies, as well as small businesses both in the United States and internationally in India, Poland, and the PRC. She has lived in Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caribbean.
